Delete your account
Last updated: 23 October 2026
You can delete your Quicksi account at any time. This page explains how, what is removed, and what we are required to keep.
1. If you still have the app
This is the fastest route and it deletes the account immediately.
Open the Quicksi app and go to Account → Personal details → Delete account (cleaners: Profile → Personal details → Delete account). You will be asked to confirm — with your password, or, if you signed in with Google and so have no password, by typing DELETE.
You can also do it on the website at Account → Privacy & data, which is the same thing and needs you to be signed in.
2. If you no longer have the app, or cannot sign in
Email support@quicksi.com.au from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my account.
We verify that the request comes from the account holder before we act on it — which is why this page cannot delete an account on its own. Without that check, anyone who knew your email address could close your account. We will confirm by email once it is done, and we aim to complete requests within 30 days.
3. What is deleted
Your name, email address, phone number, password, profile photo, saved addresses and location data, and your notification and device tokens. If you are a Cleaner, also your bio, ABN, payout connection, availability, skills, and — this one matters — your identity documents and background check, which are erased from our media storage rather than just unlinked, along with any certificates, calendar links and service areas. Any recurring booking plan is cancelled.
You are signed out on every device, and the account can no longer be used to sign in. Deletion cannot be undone.
4. What we keep, and why
If you never had a paid booking, nothing is kept: the details of any booking you made (address, notes, messages and photos) are removed with your account.
If you had at least one paid booking, we keep a private record so a later claim, a dispute, a request from police, or a tax question about a booking can still be answered: your name, email, phone number, ABN, and — for Cleaners — the record of your verification (approval date, and your police check's issue date, issuing body and reference number, never its contents). The details of those bookings (address, notes, messages and photos) are kept with it. No identity document or certificate file is kept. Only Quicksi staff can see this record, every look at it is logged, and it is used for nothing else. It is deleted 7 years after your last paid booking — the tax authorities can ask about a year's records for 5 years after that year's return, and claims can arise after a job.
The bookings and payments themselves stay in our accounts, anonymised — no longer linked to your name — because the other party to a booking has their own rights over that record.
Security event records (for example, sign-in attempts) may be kept after deletion as part of our fraud-prevention records, limited to what is needed for that purpose. See our Privacy Policy for retention periods.
5. Before you delete
You cannot delete an account while a booking is still active. Finish or cancel any upcoming, in-progress, or disputed bookings first — otherwise the other party would be left with a job and nobody attached to it.
Any unused account credit is lost on deletion and is not refundable.
