Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Quicksi Technologies Pty Ltd (ACN 702 258 599) trading as Quicksi ("Quicksi", "we", "us", "our") and govern your access to and use of the Quicksi website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Definitions
Customer means a User who requests cleaning services. Cleaner means a User who offers and performs cleaning services. User means anyone who accesses the Platform. Booking means a request for cleaning services made through the Platform. Job Contract means the agreement formed directly between a Customer and a Cleaner when a Booking is accepted. Connection Fee means the one-off fee payable by the Customer for being matched with a Cleaner, calculated from the job total in accordance with clause 6 and disclosed in the app before payment. Fees means the Connection Fee, commission, and any other charges disclosed in the app. Non-excludable Condition means a guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. About Quicksi and our role
Quicksi operates an online marketplace that connects Customers with independent Cleaners. Quicksi is a facilitator only. We are not a cleaning company, we do not employ Cleaners, and we do not provide cleaning services ourselves. Our role is limited to providing the technology that enables matching, scheduling, communication, and payment between Users.
Every Booking creates a Job Contract directly between the Customer and the Cleaner. Quicksi is not a party to the Job Contract. We accept no liability for any aspect of the interaction between Users, including the description, performance, quality, timing, or delivery of services.
We do not warrant the truth or accuracy of any information provided by Users, including a Cleaner's ability to perform a job or a Customer's ability to pay.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
Account security and access logging. To protect accounts and the integrity of the Platform, we monitor and keep records of security-related activity on Customer and Cleaner accounts — including sign-ins and failed sign-in attempts, sign-outs, password resets and changes, email-address changes, and account deletion — together with associated technical details such as IP address and device information. We may temporarily lock an account after repeated failed sign-in attempts, limit the rate of requests, require re-verification, or sign an account out of all devices where we reasonably suspect unauthorised access. These records are handled as described in our Privacy Policy and may be used to investigate suspected fraud, misuse, or breaches of these Terms, and to comply with our legal obligations.
4. How bookings work
When a Customer submits a Booking, the Platform matches it with an available Cleaner based on factors such as location, availability, and service type. When the Booking is accepted, a Job Contract is formed between the Customer and the Cleaner on the service details, date, time, and location set at the time of Booking. Both parties agree to communicate and act in good faith.
4.1 Booking window and lead time. Bookings may be scheduled to start within the operating window published in the app, measured in the local time of the State or Territory in which the property is located, and no less than 90 minutes from the time the Booking is made. A job may finish outside that window. Quicksi may vary the window; a variation applies only to Bookings made after it takes effect, never to a Booking already confirmed. The window is a limit on when the Platform accepts Bookings. It does not oblige any Cleaner to work at any time, and each Cleaner sets their own available days and hours within it.
4.2 Not being matched with a Cleaner again. A Customer may ask not to be matched again with a Cleaner who has worked for them or been assigned to their Booking, choosing a reason from the list in the app. That Cleaner is then left out of the Customer's future Bookings; a Booking already assigned is not affected (the Customer can ask for a different Cleaner on it under clause 7.6A). The request is not a finding against the Cleaner, is not shown to them, and does not affect their rating or other work. A request based on a person's race, sex, or another attribute protected by anti-discrimination law is not permitted, and Quicksi may review the reasons a Customer gives.
5. Verification, vetting, and assumption of risk
Quicksi may carry out checks on Cleaners, such as identity, ABN, and background-check verification. These checks are a convenience and do not constitute a warranty or endorsement. We give no representation that any User, document, or service is safe, lawful, accurate, or suitable.
You are responsible for satisfying yourself about the other party before and during a Job Contract. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume all risks arising from a Job Contract and release Quicksi from any claim, loss, liability, injury, damage, or cost arising from or related to the services.
Profile photo and identity. Cleaners must upload and maintain a clear, current, front-facing photograph of their own face as their profile photo. Logos, group photos, filtered or obscured images, sunglasses, and images of any other person are not permitted. The photo is used for identity verification, Customer safety, and Platform security, and enables a Customer to confirm that the person attending their property is the account holder (or an approved substitute or Team Member under clause 9.5). Accounts must not be shared: only the verified account holder, or an approved substitute or Team Member, may attend a Booking. A missing, inaccurate, or misleading profile photo, or account sharing, may result in suspension or termination.
6. Prices, payment, and fees
Prices are shown in Australian dollars and presented to the Customer in the app before a Booking is confirmed. The Customer pays the job total plus the Connection Fee. Surcharges may apply and every surcharge is shown as a separate line in the price breakdown before the Customer confirms — see clause 6.6.
When a Booking is confirmed we place a hold on the Customer's payment method for the Booking Total. A hold is an authorisation, not a charge: the amount is reserved and the money is not taken until the job is complete. We take payment after the Customer confirms the job is complete, or automatically 24 hours after the job is marked complete if the Customer neither confirms nor raises a dispute under clause 7.9. If a Cleaner has checked in but does not mark the job complete, the Platform marks it complete 12 hours after its expected finish time and notifies the Customer, and the 24 hours run from then. Quicksi deducts a commission from the Cleaner's payout for its platform services, as set out in clause 6.7. Fees are disclosed in the app and are inclusive of GST or equivalent taxes where they apply. Payments are processed by third-party providers, and your use of those services may be subject to their terms.
Keeping the hold valid. Card issuers keep a hold for a limited time (usually about seven days). So that a hold lasts until the job is settled, the Customer's card is kept on file by our payment provider (never by Quicksi), and the Customer authorises Quicksi to replace a hold that is about to lapse with a new hold on that card for the same amount, releasing the old one. If a hold cannot be renewed, Quicksi will ask the Customer to confirm their card. If the job has not started and the card is not confirmed in time, Quicksi may cancel the Booking under clause 6.3(d) with nothing charged. If the job has started or been completed, Quicksi may take the payment before the hold lapses; the amount is held by Quicksi and paid to the Cleaner only once the job is confirmed or a dispute is decided, and any refund under clause 7 is made from it.
6.1 Connection Fee. The Connection Fee is a percentage of the job total at the time the Booking is made, not less than a minimum amount and not more than a maximum amount, as published in the app and on the Quicksi website (at the date of these Terms, 9% of the job total, not less than $9.95 and not more than $34.95). Quicksi may change the percentage, the minimum or the maximum for future Bookings; a change never applies to a Booking already made. The Connection Fee is charged to the Customer in addition to the job total, is disclosed in the price breakdown before the Customer confirms, and is retained by Quicksi. It is not paid to the Cleaner and is not deducted from the Cleaner's payout.
6.2 Fee is fixed at Booking. Once a Cleaner has been assigned to a Booking, the Connection Fee does not change, even if the job total is subsequently varied (for example by an on-site price adjustment or an extension of booked hours).
6.3 When the Connection Fee is not payable. The Connection Fee is only payable where a Cleaner accepts the Booking. It is not charged, or is refunded in full, where: (a) no Cleaner accepts the Booking; (b) the Booking is cancelled before a Cleaner is confirmed; (c) the Cleaner cancels or fails to attend and Quicksi does not provide a replacement Cleaner; or (d) Quicksi cancels the Booking.
6.4 Waiver for a recurring Cleaner. The Connection Fee is waived in full where a Booking is an occurrence of a recurring schedule and is accepted by the Cleaner who has agreed to act as the regular Cleaner for that schedule. The waiver is applied automatically when that Cleaner accepts, and reduces the amount charged to the Customer's payment method accordingly. The waiver does not apply to the first Booking from which a recurring schedule is created, or to any occurrence accepted by a different Cleaner. Quicksi does not guarantee that any particular Cleaner will accept any particular Booking.
6.5 Changes to the fee table. Quicksi may vary the Connection Fee table from time to time. Any variation applies only to Bookings made after the variation takes effect, and never to a Booking already confirmed. Nothing in this clause limits any Non-excludable Condition.
6.6 Surcharges. A Booking may attract one or more of the following surcharges, each calculated on the job total and each shown as a separate line in the price breakdown before the Customer confirms:
- a same-day surcharge, where the Booking is for the same calendar day on which it is made;
- a public holiday surcharge, where the Scheduled Start Time falls on a public holiday observed in the State or Territory in which the property is located; and
- a Sunday surcharge, where the Scheduled Start Time falls on a Sunday.
The public holiday and Sunday surcharges do not apply together: where a public holiday falls on a Sunday, the higher of the two rates applies and only once. The public holiday and Sunday surcharges are paid in full to the Cleaner. No commission is deducted from them, and they do not form part of the amount on which commission is calculated. The current rates are published in the app. Quicksi may vary them, and a variation applies only to Bookings made after it takes effect, never to a Booking already confirmed.
6.7 Commission (Cleaners). The commission is a fee the Cleaner pays Quicksi for platform services supplied to the Cleaner's business — marketing to Customers, matching, scheduling, payment processing and collection, and support — and is not a share of, or a deduction from, any wage. The commission rate applying to a Booking is fixed when the Booking is made (or, for a regular Cleaner under clause 6.10, when the offer is made), and every offer shows the Cleaner the amount they will receive ("You earn") before they decide whether to accept, decline, or counter-offer. If the price of a Booking later changes through a counter-offer (clause 9.7), an on-site price adjustment (clause 9.9), or an extension of booked hours, the commission is calculated on the new price at the same fixed rate. Quicksi may change the commission rate, or introduce lower rates for particular kinds of Booking, by giving Cleaners at least 14 days' notice; a change applies only to Bookings made after it takes effect and never to a Booking already made. The commission and every amount paid to the Cleaner are itemised in the Cleaner's earnings statement in the app.
6.8 Recurring discount. An occurrence of a weekly or fortnightly recurring schedule may receive a discount on the job total at the rate published in the app (at the date of these Terms, 5%). The discount is applied when the occurrence is created and is shown in the price breakdown to the Customer and in the offer to the Cleaner, so the amount the Cleaner will receive already reflects it before they accept. A Cleaner is free to decline any such offer, and declining has no effect under clause 9.8. A change to the discount rate applies only to occurrences created after it takes effect.
6.9 The price record and pricing errors. The price breakdown shown to the Customer when they confirm a Booking, and the amount shown to the Cleaner when they accept it, are recorded by the Platform and are the reference for every charge, refund, and payout on that Booking; either party may ask us for that record. The Customer is never charged more than the amount they authorised unless they approve the change in the app (clauses 9.7 and 9.9, and extensions of booked hours). If a price shown on the Platform is obviously wrong because of a technical or data error, Quicksi may correct it before the Booking is confirmed or, if the job has not started, cancel the Booking with a full refund and no fee to either party. A Cleaner's payout for work already performed is never reduced because of a pricing error made by Quicksi.
6.10 Lower platform fee for a regular client. On an occurrence of a recurring schedule accepted by the Cleaner who agreed to be that schedule's regular Cleaner (clause 6.4), Quicksi charges a lower commission, because it does not run a matching round for that occurrence. The rate falls with the number of that schedule's Bookings the Cleaner has completed, at the levels published in the app (at the date of these Terms: the standard rate for the first four, 12% from the fifth and 10% from the eleventh). The lower rate is fixed when the occurrence is offered to the regular Cleaner, is shown in that offer, and applies only if that Cleaner accepts it; any other Cleaner who accepts pays the standard rate. It is a price for Quicksi's services, not a reward for how a Cleaner performs: it does not depend on ratings, speed, or offers accepted or declined, and declining an occurrence never lowers the Cleaner's level. Changes follow clause 6.7.
6.11 Quicksi collects payment as the Cleaner's agent. Each Cleaner appoints Quicksi as their limited agent to accept payment from Customers for the Cleaner's services (the job total, and any Cancellation Fee or other amount payable to the Cleaner under these Terms), to hold it, and to pay it to the Cleaner as these Terms provide. A Customer's payment to Quicksi, or to Quicksi's payment provider, discharges the Customer's obligation to pay the Cleaner that amount, whether or not Quicksi has yet paid it to the Cleaner. Quicksi pays the Cleaner the amount due less the commission (clause 6.7) and any amount the Cleaner owes Quicksi under these Terms. Acting as collection agent does not make Quicksi a party to the Job Contract, or the supplier or the buyer of the cleaning services. Money held for a Cleaner is not held on trust, and the Cleaner is not entitled to any interest on it. The Connection Fee is Quicksi's own charge and is not collected for the Cleaner.
6.12 Payouts and our payment provider. Payments and payouts are processed by Stripe. To receive payouts, a Cleaner must create a Stripe account through the Platform and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement (together, the Stripe Services Agreement), as Stripe may amend it from time to time. By agreeing to these Terms or continuing to operate as a Cleaner on the Platform, the Cleaner agrees to the Stripe Services Agreement. As a condition of Quicksi enabling payouts through Stripe, the Cleaner agrees to provide Quicksi accurate and complete information about themselves and their business, and authorises Quicksi to share it, and transaction information about their use of the payouts, with Stripe. A payout is made once the Booking is settled under clause 6 or clause 7, and reaches the Cleaner's bank account on Stripe's payout schedule. Quicksi pays Stripe's fees for processing Customers' payments; they are not deducted from the Cleaner's payout.
6.13 Receipts and tax invoices. The Customer receives a receipt for every payment, showing the cleaning (the Cleaner's service) and the Connection Fee (Quicksi's service) separately. Quicksi issues tax invoices only for its own supplies — the Connection Fee to the Customer, and the commission to the Cleaner — and only while Quicksi is registered for GST. A tax invoice for the cleaning, where one is required, is issued by the Cleaner as the supplier; a Customer may ask for one through Quicksi, and Quicksi will pass the request to the Cleaner. Each Cleaner can see a statement of the amounts collected for them, the commission, and the amounts paid to them, for each month.
6.14 Referral rewards. Quicksi may offer a reward for referring new users, at the amount published in the app (at the date of these Terms, $10). A Customer who refers a new Customer receives account credit once that person's first Booking has been paid. A Cleaner who refers a new Cleaner receives a bonus, added to their next payout, once that Cleaner has been approved and their first job has been paid. There is one reward for each person referred; no reward is given for referring yourself, or for an account opened to obtain a reward, and Quicksi may withhold or reverse a reward obtained that way. Referral credit applies to future Bookings, is not redeemable for cash, and lapses on the same terms as goodwill credit under clause 7. A referral bonus is funded by Quicksi and is not part of the payment for any job. Quicksi may change or end the programme at any time; a change does not affect a reward already earned.
7. Cancellations, refunds, and disputes
7.1 Definitions. In this section, Scheduled Start Time means the start time of the Booking as shown in the app at the time of cancellation; Notice means the period between the time a cancellation is submitted through the Platform and the Scheduled Start Time; Job Total means the price of the cleaning services excluding the Connection Fee; Booking Total means the Job Total plus the Connection Fee and any surcharges disclosed before payment; Short-Notice Booking means a Booking made less than 24 hours before its Scheduled Start Time; On My Way means the point at which the Cleaner indicates in the app that they have begun travelling to the property; and Cancellation Fee means the amount payable under clause 7.2 or 7.3, which is calculated on the Job Total and is paid in full to the Cleaner.
7.2 Cancellation by the Customer — standard Bookings. A Customer may cancel a Booking at any time through the app. Where the Booking was made 24 hours or more before its Scheduled Start Time, the following schedule applies and is disclosed to the Customer before payment:
| Notice given | Cancellation Fee | Connection Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Before a Cleaner has accepted | Nil | Refunded — the payment hold is released in full and no charge is made |
| More than 24 hours | Nil | Retained |
| Between 12 and 24 hours | 25% of the Job Total, paid to the Cleaner | Retained |
| Less than 12 hours | 50% of the Job Total, paid to the Cleaner | Retained |
7.3 Cancellation by the Customer — Short-Notice Bookings. A Short-Notice Booking may be made as little as 90 minutes before its Scheduled Start Time, so the schedule in clause 7.2 would place it in the highest tier from the moment it is made. The following schedule applies instead, and is measured by the extent to which the Cleaner has committed to the Booking rather than by hours before the Scheduled Start Time:
| When the cancellation is made | Cancellation Fee | Connection Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Before a Cleaner has accepted | Nil | Refunded — the payment hold is released in full |
| Within 30 minutes of the Cleaner accepting, and before On My Way | Nil | Retained |
| More than 30 minutes after the Cleaner accepted, and before On My Way | 30% of the Job Total, paid to the Cleaner | Retained |
| After On My Way | 60% of the Job Total, paid to the Cleaner | Retained |
The 30-minute period in this clause ends if the Cleaner sets off before it expires. Quicksi notifies the Customer at the time of a Short-Notice Booking that this schedule applies.
7.4 Amounts, and how they are collected. A Cancellation Fee is calculated on the Job Total and is paid in full to the Cleaner as compensation for the reserved time and any travel undertaken. Quicksi retains no part of it and charges no commission on it. The total amount retained under clauses 7.2 and 7.3 is never more than the amount authorised on the Customer's payment method, and any account credit applied to the Booking is returned to the Customer in full. Any remaining balance of the authorisation is released.
7.5 Failure to provide access. Where a Customer does not provide access to the property at the Scheduled Start Time (including an unsafe site, no key or entry arrangement, or being uncontactable for 30 minutes after the Scheduled Start Time), the Cancellation Fee is the amount that would apply after On My Way under clause 7.3. It is not treated as a cancellation with no Notice, and the Booking Total is not retained in full.
The Cleaner reports a failure to provide access, or an unsafe site under clause 8.3, through the Platform — not by cancelling — once they have indicated On My Way or checked in, with at least one photograph, a description, and a declaration that the report is true; a report of no access may be made from 30 minutes after the Scheduled Start Time. The Platform records the location of the Cleaner's device. The report does not by itself result in any charge. The Customer is notified and may agree, in which case the Booking is cancelled with the Cancellation Fee in this clause, or disagree, in which case the matter is a dispute under clause 7.9 and the payment hold stays in place while Quicksi decides it, acting reasonably and having regard to the evidence. If the Customer does not respond within 24 hours, the Cancellation Fee applies where the Platform verified that the Cleaner was at the property; otherwise Quicksi decides it as a dispute. A report made under this clause is not a cancellation by the Cleaner under clause 7.7. A Cleaner who makes a report they know to be false breaches these Terms, with the consequences set out in clause 7.7A.
7.6 Price adjustments are not cancellations. Where a Cleaner requests a change to the price after a job has started and the Customer declines it, the Customer is not cancelling the Booking and no Cancellation Fee is payable. The Cleaner may continue at the price already agreed or withdraw from the job, and in either case the Customer may raise the matter as a dispute under clause 7.9, which Quicksi resolves by reference to the price originally agreed.
7.6A Requesting a different Cleaner is not a cancellation. A Customer may ask Quicksi to find a different Cleaner for a confirmed Booking once per Booking, and only while a cancellation at that moment would attract no Cancellation Fee under clause 7.2 or 7.3 — that is, 24 hours or more before the Scheduled Start Time, or within the grace period for a Short-Notice Booking. The request must state a reason. Where this is done:
- the Booking keeps its Scheduled Start Time and its price, and the authorisation on the Customer's card is not released;
- no Cancellation Fee is payable, and the released Cleaner is not charged and has nothing recorded against their account under clause 7.7;
- the released Cleaner is not offered that Booking again, and Quicksi searches for another Cleaner;
- the Connection Fee is not refunded if the Customer later cancels the Booking, because the original match was made.
Quicksi will only release the current Cleaner if another Cleaner appears to be available for that time. If no other Cleaner is available the request is refused, the Customer keeps their existing Cleaner, and they may cancel under clause 7.2 or 7.3 instead. Once a Cancellation Fee would apply, a Cleaner can no longer be changed under this clause.
7.7 Cancellation by the Cleaner, or failure to attend. If a Cleaner cancels a Booking, or fails to attend, the Customer is not charged any fee and, unless the Customer chooses a replacement Cleaner under this clause, is refunded 100% of the Booking Total, including the Connection Fee. Quicksi will use reasonable endeavours to offer the Customer a replacement Cleaner. Cleaner cancellations and no-shows are recorded against the Cleaner's account, are weighted more heavily the closer they occur to the Scheduled Start Time, and repeated or unjustified cancellations may result in reduced job offers, suspension, or removal from the Platform.
Check-in and failure to attend. A Cleaner must check in through the Platform on arrival. Check-in is available from one hour before the Scheduled Start Time until two hours after it, extended by any delay the Cleaner has notified through the Platform (the check-in window). If the check-in window closes without a check-in, the Customer may, through the Platform:
- ask for another Cleaner at a new start time on the same Booking, for the same Booking Total and without any surcharge for the new time. The existing payment hold stays in place and no further hold is placed;
- cancel the Booking, in which case the payment hold is released in full and nothing is charged. The Customer's bank may take several business days to remove the pending amount; or
- confirm the job was performed, in which case the Booking proceeds as if the Cleaner had marked it complete, and payment is taken as set out in clause 6.
If the Customer does none of these, and no late check-in claim has been made under clause 7.7A, Quicksi cancels the Booking and releases the payment hold in full 12 hours after the job's expected finish time. Where the Customer has reported a Cleaner's failure to attend on another Booking in the previous 90 days, Quicksi may review a request to cancel before acting on it: the payment hold stays in place and nothing is charged while Quicksi reviews the matter as a dispute under clause 7.9, ordinarily within 3 to 5 business days.
7.7A Late check-in claims. Where a Cleaner performed a Booking but did not check in within the check-in window, the Cleaner may, while the Booking is still unresolved, make a late check-in claim through the Platform. A claim must state when the Cleaner arrived (within the check-in window) and when they finished, include at least two photographs of the completed work and a description of what happened, and include the Cleaner's declaration that the claim is true. The Platform also records the location of the Cleaner's device when the claim is made. A claim does not by itself result in any payment or refund. While a claim awaits the Customer's answer:
- the Customer is shown the claim and its photographs and may confirm that the job was performed, in which case the Booking proceeds as if the Cleaner had marked it complete and payment is taken as set out in clause 6; or dispute it;
- the options in clause 7.7 to ask for another Cleaner or to cancel are not available, and Quicksi does not cancel the Booking automatically; and
- the Cleaner may not cancel the Booking.
If the Customer disputes the claim, or does not answer it within 24 hours, the matter is a dispute under clause 7.9: the payment hold stays in place, nothing is charged, and Quicksi decides it, acting reasonably and having regard to the Platform's records and any evidence either party provides, ordinarily within 3 to 5 business days. If Quicksi is satisfied the job was performed, payment is taken as set out in clause 6. Otherwise the Customer is refunded in full and the failure to attend, and any re-matching charge, are recorded against the Cleaner as set out in this clause 7.7. A Cleaner who makes a claim they know to be false, or submits photographs or other evidence that do not relate to that Booking, breaches these Terms: Quicksi may suspend or remove the Cleaner from the Platform and may deduct from the Cleaner's future payouts any amount paid to them because of that claim. Nothing in this clause limits any Non-excludable Condition.
Where a Cleaner cancels a Booking they had already accepted, or fails to attend, Quicksi must find the Customer another Cleaner and so incurs the cost of matching the Booking a second time. A re-matching charge equal to the Connection Fee paid by the Customer on that Booking is recorded against the Cleaner and deducted from the Cleaner's next payout. The following apply to that charge:
- It is recovery of a cost actually incurred, is never more than the Connection Fee charged on the Booking concerned, and is not charged at all where no Connection Fee was payable on that Booking.
- It is only ever deducted from a future payout. It is not charged to a payment method, and no debt is pursued from a Cleaner who does not take further Bookings.
- A deduction never reduces a payout below nil. Where a payout does not cover the charge, the charge simply remains outstanding.
- It is not charged where the Cleaner withdraws after a Customer declines a price adjustment (clause 7.6), or where clause 7.8 applies.
- Quicksi will notify the Cleaner when the charge is recorded and it is shown in the app before it is deducted.
- Where the charge relates to a failure to attend reported by the Customer, it is not deducted for 48 hours after it is recorded. Within that time the Cleaner may dispute it through the Platform by stating that they attended. A disputed charge is held and not deducted until Quicksi, acting reasonably and having regard to the Platform's records and any evidence provided, decides it. If Quicksi is satisfied that the Cleaner attended, the charge is waived, the failure to attend is removed from the Cleaner's record, and where the Cleaner performed the Booking Quicksi will pay the Cleaner the amount they would have received for it.
- It is not charged where Quicksi cancels a Booking automatically because neither party recorded the job. The failure to attend is still recorded against the Cleaner.
Where a Cleaner cancels close to the Scheduled Start Time, Quicksi may, in its discretion, issue the affected Customer with account credit as a goodwill gesture. Any such credit is funded by Quicksi, is applied automatically to a future Booking, is not redeemable for cash, and does not form part of any refund entitlement. The issue, amount, and conditions of goodwill credit are at Quicksi's discretion, may change at any time, and do not create an ongoing entitlement. Unused account credit lapses when your account is closed or terminated, except to the extent the credit represents a refund entitlement or a Non-excludable Condition applies. Nothing in this clause limits any Non-excludable Condition.
7.8 Extenuating circumstances. Quicksi may, acting reasonably, waive some or all of a cancellation fee where the cancelling party provides evidence of extenuating circumstances that were unforeseeable at the time of Booking and prevented performance, including a medical emergency, bereavement, natural disaster, dangerous weather, or a government direction or public-health restriction. Quicksi's decision on a waiver does not affect any Non-excludable Condition.
7.9 Service-quality disputes. If a job is not delivered to a reasonable standard, the Customer may raise a dispute through the app within 24 hours of the job being marked complete. If the Customer neither confirms the job nor raises a dispute within that 24 hours, payment is taken and released to the Cleaner automatically. Raising a dispute within the 24 hours stops that from happening. Payment is withheld from release while the dispute is reviewed. Quicksi will review the available evidence — including booking scope, check-in records, photographs, and messages exchanged on the Platform — and may, acting reasonably, offer a re-clean under clause 7.9A, direct a partial refund or a full refund, or dismiss the dispute. Where a refund is made on a completed job, the refunded amount is borne between the Cleaner's payout and Quicksi's commission in the same proportions as the original payment split, so that each party bears its own share.
7.9A Re-cleans. Where a dispute concerns the quality or scope of a completed job, Quicksi may offer a re-clean: a return visit by the same Cleaner to redo the areas reported, at no extra cost to the Customer. A re-clean is a choice at every step. The Customer may accept it or ask Quicksi to decide the dispute instead, and nothing in this clause limits any Non-excludable Condition. If the Customer accepts, the Cleaner may agree to return or decline; Quicksi does not require a Cleaner to return, and declining is not recorded against the Cleaner or taken into account under clause 9.8. If the Cleaner agrees, the Customer and the Cleaner arrange the time through the Platform, and the visit is to be completed by the date shown, with photographs of the areas redone. The Customer then confirms whether the matter is fixed; if they confirm it, or do not respond within 24 hours, the dispute is resolved and payment is released to the Cleaner in full as set out in clause 6. If the Customer or the Cleaner declines, does not respond within 48 hours, or the visit is not completed in time, or the Customer says the matter is not fixed, Quicksi decides the dispute under clause 7.9. The payment hold stays in place, and nothing is charged or paid, until the dispute is resolved.
7.10 Processing of refunds. Refunds are made only to the original payment method and may take between 3 and 10 business days to appear, depending on the card issuer. Refunds are not paid in cash or to a different card or account. Where a payment was only authorised and not captured, the "refund" takes the form of a release of the hold, and the time for the hold to disappear is determined by the card issuer.
7.11 Chargebacks. You agree to contact Quicksi and use the dispute process in this section before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer. Quicksi reserves the right to dispute any chargeback it reasonably considers unjustified, to provide the payment provider with evidence (including job records, photographs, GPS check-in data, and communications), and to suspend the associated account while a chargeback is outstanding. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under a Non-excludable Condition.
7.12 Debts and set-off. Any amount you owe under this section may be treated as a debt due to Quicksi and may be set off against any amount otherwise payable to you through the Platform.
7.13 Australian Consumer Law. This section operates in addition to, and does not exclude, restrict, or modify, any Non-excludable Condition, including the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Where services are not provided with due care and skill, are not fit for purpose, or are not provided within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to remedies under the Australian Consumer Law regardless of the schedule above.
8. Customer responsibilities
8.1 Access. The Customer must provide safe and lawful access to the property at the Scheduled Start Time, including any keys, codes, or entry instructions, and warrants that they have the authority to allow the services to be performed at the property (owner, tenant with consent, or authorised agent). Failure to provide access is treated under clause 7.5.
8.2 Accurate job information. The Customer must describe the job accurately at the time of Booking, including the property type, size, condition, and any add-ons required, and any photos of the home the Customer adds, which form part of that description and are shown to the Cleaners offered the Booking. If the property or job scope is materially different from what was booked (for example, a significantly larger or dirtier property), the Cleaner may ask to adjust the price under clause 9.9 or withdraw from the job. Declining a price adjustment is not a cancellation and no Cancellation Fee is payable (clause 7.6); a Cleaner who withdraws in those circumstances does so without penalty (clause 9.9).
8.3 Safe working environment. The Customer must provide a safe working environment, including working electricity, running water, and adequate lighting, and must disclose before the job starts any hazard relevant to the clean — including biological hazards, sharps, mould, pest infestations, aggressive animals, structural dangers, or recent chemical treatments. A Cleaner may suspend or refuse to perform services, without penalty to the Cleaner, where the property is unsafe or an undisclosed hazard is discovered; in that case clause 7.5 applies as if access had not been provided.
8.4 Pets and other persons. Customers must secure or disclose pets, and are responsible for the conduct of any person present at the property during the services. Cleaners must not be asked to supervise children or provide any care services.
8.5 Valuables and fragile items. The Customer is responsible for securing cash, jewellery, documents, and items of special or sentimental value before the job starts, and for disclosing any unusually fragile or high-value items that require special care. Quicksi recommends valuables be stored away during any service.
8.6 Scope of services. Customers must not request services outside the booked scope, services that are unlawful or unsafe (including working at dangerous heights, handling biohazards or asbestos, or moving very heavy furniture), or personal services unrelated to cleaning. Additional work may only be arranged and paid for through the Platform (see clause 11).
8.7 Respectful conduct. Customers must treat Cleaners with respect. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, sexual misconduct, or abuse of any kind will result in immediate cancellation of the Booking without refund and may result in account termination and referral to police. Recording a Cleaner by any means must comply with applicable surveillance laws, and Customers must disclose active recording devices in areas where the Cleaner will work.
8.8 Breach. A Customer's breach of this section that prevents or cuts short the services does not entitle the Customer to a refund, and the Customer remains responsible for the Booking Total, except that where the breach is a failure to provide access or a safe place to work, the amount payable is the one set by clause 7.5. This is subject always to any Non-excludable Condition.
9. Cleaners: independent contractors, worker status, and substitution
9.1 Independent contractor relationship. Cleaners are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms, and nothing in your use of the Platform, creates an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, or agency between Quicksi and any Cleaner. Quicksi does not direct, control, or supervise the methods, means, manner, or sequence in which a Cleaner performs services. The Cleaner retains sole discretion over how the services are performed, including the equipment and products used, subject only to delivering what the Customer booked to a professional standard.
9.2 Tax, superannuation, and workers' compensation. Cleaners are solely responsible for their own taxation, GST, superannuation, workers' compensation, and all other statutory obligations relating to their earnings, including holding a valid ABN where required, and warrant that they have the right to work and any necessary skills or licences in the jurisdiction where they perform services. Cleaners are not entitled to any employee benefits, including minimum wage guarantees, paid leave, sick leave, holiday pay, or superannuation contributions from Quicksi. Cleaners are not covered by any workers' compensation insurance held by Quicksi and assume all risk of personal injury while providing services; Cleaners are responsible for arranging their own personal accident, income protection, and (where required by law) workers' compensation cover.
9.3 Employment-claims indemnity. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Cleaner indemnifies Quicksi against any claim, demand, assessment, or legal action — by the Cleaner or any third party, including a regulator — seeking employee entitlements, workers' compensation benefits, superannuation contributions, or payroll or withholding tax in respect of the Cleaner. The parties record their mutual intention that the relationship is one of independent contract and not employment.
9.4 No guaranteed work; no exclusivity. Quicksi does not guarantee any volume of work, ongoing work, or minimum income. Cleaners choose when to be available and which offers to accept, and are free to perform services for other platforms, their own clients, or any other business at any time.
9.5 Substitution, delegation, and Team Members. A Cleaner may delegate the performance of a Booking to a substitute or to a member of the Cleaner's own independent business (a "Team Member"), provided that the substitute or Team Member has completed the same registration, identity verification, and vetting process on the Platform as the original Cleaner and has been approved before entering a Customer's property. Quicksi may decline a proposed substitute or Team Member who has not passed those checks — a condition imposed for the safety of Customers and the integrity of the Platform, not as a restriction on the Cleaner's right to conduct their own business. Where a Booking will be performed by a substitute or Team Member, the Customer will be informed of that person's identity. The Cleaner who accepted the Booking remains fully responsible to the Customer and to Quicksi for the performance, quality, and acts and omissions of any substitute or Team Member, and payment for the Booking continues to be made to the Cleaner who accepted it. Any arrangement between a Cleaner and their substitute or Team Member — including remuneration, superannuation, insurance, and workplace obligations — is a private matter within the Cleaner's own business. Quicksi does not pay, engage, or contract with substitutes or Team Members in that capacity, and a substitute or Team Member has no claim against Quicksi for wages, superannuation, or any employment entitlement.
9.6 Accuracy of information. Cleaners must provide accurate verification information when requested and keep their profile, ABN, insurance, and contact details current.
9.7 Pricing power and counter-offers. The Platform displays an indicative price for each job offer, calculated from the details the Customer provided at booking. A Cleaner offered a Booking may accept that price, decline the offer, or propose a higher price for the Customer to consider (a "counter-offer"). A counter-offer must exceed the indicative price and state the reasons for it, chosen in the app, which the Customer sees with it: the mechanism exists so a Cleaner can ask for more where they judge a job to be worth more, not to bid against other Cleaners. Only Cleaners who meet the service-area, skill, and availability requirements for the Booking may make a counter-offer, and a Cleaner may revise a pending counter-offer while the Booking remains open. The Customer may accept or decline any counter-offer at their discretion. If the Customer accepts a counter-offer, the proposed price becomes the price of the Booking, the fees in clause 6 are recalculated on that price, the Customer's payment authorisation is updated to the new amount, and the Booking is confirmed to that Cleaner. Until a Booking is confirmed it remains open to every offered Cleaner: if another Cleaner accepts the indicative price first, that acceptance takes priority, the Booking is confirmed at the indicative price, and pending counter-offers lapse — consistent with clause 9.4, Quicksi does not guarantee a proposing Cleaner the job merely for having proposed.
9.8 No penalty for declining. A Cleaner's decision to decline, not respond to, or counter-offer on any Booking offer has no effect on that Cleaner's ranking, visibility, or standing on the Platform. Offers are matched on factors such as proximity to the job, customer ratings, fair distribution of work among eligible Cleaners, Customer preferences, and whether the Cleaner holds verified public liability insurance (clause 10.1) — not on a Cleaner's history of accepting or declining offers. This clause concerns offers that have not yet been accepted; cancellation of a confirmed Booking by a Cleaner is dealt with in clause 7.7, subject to clause 9.9.
9.9 On-site price adjustment. If, after starting a job, a Cleaner reasonably determines that the property's condition or scope materially differs from what was described at booking, the Cleaner may request an adjusted price before continuing, supported by at least two photographs of the conditions found and the reasons for the request, chosen in the app. The Customer may approve or decline the request at their discretion. If the Customer does not respond within 30 minutes, the request is treated as declined. If approved, the adjusted price becomes the price of the Booking, the fees in clause 6 are recalculated on that price, and the Customer's payment authorisation is updated accordingly; if the payment cannot be authorised for the adjusted amount, the adjustment does not take effect and the original price stands. If declined, the Cleaner may either complete the job at the original price or cancel the Booking; a cancellation in those circumstances is treated as a no-fault cancellation — it is not recorded against the Cleaner for the purposes of clause 7.7, no re-matching charge applies, and it does not affect the Cleaner's standing on the Platform under clause 9.8.
9.10 Working methods; estimated duration is indicative only. Cleaners determine their own working methods, the order in which tasks are performed, and the pace at which they work. Where the Platform displays an estimated duration for a Booking, that estimate is calculated from the details the Customer provided at booking and describes the scope of work the Customer has purchased. It is indicative only. It is not a deadline, a quota, a minimum or maximum time, or an instruction as to how the Cleaner performs the services, and Quicksi does not supervise or direct the performance of any Booking. Quicksi does not reduce or withhold payment, alter a Cleaner's ranking, visibility, matching, or standing under clause 9.8, or take any other adverse action against a Cleaner because the time actually taken differs from the estimate. Where a Booking is priced as a fixed price, the Cleaner is entitled to the full agreed price whether the work takes more or less time than the estimate; clause 9.9 sets out the Cleaner's remedy where the scope found on site materially differs from what was described. Where a Booking is priced by the hour, the hours the Customer has purchased are stated at booking and may be extended and paid for during the job. Quicksi uses the estimated duration for administrative purposes only — timing the notifications it sends to Cleaners and Customers, and identifying Bookings that appear to have been abandoned so they can be cancelled and refunded under clause 7.7. A notification referring to a Booking's estimated finish time is sent so that the Customer is kept informed and the Booking is accurately recorded; it is not a direction to complete the work within any period.
9.11 Police check. To receive job offers and show the Police checked badge, a Cleaner must have a current National Police Check accepted by Quicksi. A check is normally accepted only if it was issued in the 6 months before it is uploaded (Quicksi may, at its discretion, accept one issued slightly earlier), and it remains current for 12 months from its issue date; Quicksi reminds the Cleaner 30 and 7 days before it expires. When it expires, job offers and the badge stop until a new check is accepted, and nothing else about the Cleaner's account changes. This is a condition of using the Platform to be offered work, not a direction as to how any work is performed. Quicksi records the check's issue date, issuing body and reference number, never the details of any result, and handles the check as sensitive information under its Privacy Policy.
10. Insurance
Each User is responsible for arranging and maintaining their own insurance appropriate to their use of the Platform. Cleaners remain responsible for ensuring they hold sufficient insurance to cover the services they provide. Quicksi does not represent that any insurance is adequate or appropriate for any particular User.
10.1 Holding insurance is optional. Quicksi does not require a Cleaner to hold insurance in order to register, to be offered Bookings, or to be matched with Customers, and a Cleaner who does not hold insurance is offered work on the same terms as one who does. Where a Cleaner has a current "Insured" badge (clause 10.2), matching gives them a modest priority over otherwise comparable Cleaners for the same Booking, because the cover protects the Customer. That priority never outweighs a materially closer Cleaner or a Customer's chosen Cleaner, and the absence of insurance never prevents a Cleaner from receiving offers.
10.2 What the "Insured" badge means. A Cleaner may choose to upload a certificate of currency for public liability insurance. Where Quicksi has sighted that certificate and it has not expired, an "Insured" badge is displayed on the Cleaner's profile. The badge means only that: that a certificate was provided to Quicksi and appeared current when checked. It is not a representation by Quicksi as to the insurer's solvency, the scope, limits, or exclusions of the policy, whether the policy responds to any particular incident, or whether the policy remains on foot. Customers should not rely on the badge as a substitute for their own insurance, and Quicksi is not a party to, guarantor of, or insurer under any Cleaner's policy.
11. No circumvention
The Platform exists to connect Users and is funded by the Fees. You must not use the Platform to find another User and then arrange, accept, or pay for services outside the Platform in order to avoid Fees, for the duration of your relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards.
12. Reviews, content, and conduct
You may submit reviews, messages, photos, and other content. You retain ownership of your content but grant Quicksi a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display it to operate the Platform. Content must be lawful, accurate, and respectful. You must not misuse the Platform, harass others, post false or misleading information, infringe others' rights, or use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
12.1 Cleaners rate Customers. After a Booking is paid, its Cleaner may rate the Customer from one to five stars and choose from preset descriptions of conduct relating to the Booking (for example access, accuracy of the Booking, safety and respect). There is no written comment. A Customer is shown only their average rating, once they have been rated on enough Bookings that no individual rating can be identified; they are not shown an individual rating or who gave it. Cleaners are shown a Customer's average when deciding whether to accept an offer. Ratings are not used to refuse service automatically: a rating describing unsafe or disrespectful conduct is reviewed by a person at Quicksi, who may act under clause 17. A Customer may ask us for the ratings we hold about them.
13. Disputes between Users
We encourage Users to resolve disputes directly and in good faith. If a dispute cannot be resolved, either party may refer it to Quicksi. You agree to cooperate with any investigation. Quicksi may, acting reasonably and in its discretion, help resolve the dispute, including by holding disputed funds and directing the payment provider to release or refund funds. Our involvement does not make us a party to the Job Contract, and you may still pursue the matter in a court or tribunal.
14. Warranties and disclaimers
Each party warrants that the information it provides is true and accurate. Except for any Non-excludable Condition, the Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the extent permitted by law.
15. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any Non-excludable Condition. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law: we exclude all liability for indirect or consequential loss; we are not liable for the acts, omissions, or services of any User; and our total liability to you arising from or in connection with the Platform is limited to the greater of the total Fees you paid to Quicksi in the 12 months before the relevant event, or AUD $100.
Where liability for a breach of a Non-excludable Condition can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant services or paying the cost of having them resupplied.
16. Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you indemnify Quicksi against any loss, liability, cost, or expense arising from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, your Job Contracts, or your breach of any law or of another person's rights.
17. Suspension, termination, and survival
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, repeatedly cancel jobs, receive sustained poor reviews, attempt to transact off-Platform to avoid Fees, or for any other reasonable operational reason. We may also suspend access, in whole or in part, while we investigate suspected unauthorised access to an account or activity identified through our security monitoring and access logs (see section 3), and will restore access promptly if the concern is resolved. You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time.
17.1 Before a Cleaner's access is removed. Except where there is a risk to anyone's safety, suspected fraud or serious misconduct, or a legal requirement to act at once, before we suspend or deactivate a Cleaner's account we will tell the Cleaner in writing what the concern is, give them a reasonable opportunity to respond, and consider their response. Where we act at once for one of those reasons, we will give written reasons as soon as practicable. A decision to deactivate a Cleaner is made by a person at Quicksi, not by an automated system; matching only ranks offers (clause 9.8). A Cleaner may ask us to review a suspension or deactivation by contacting us under section 22. Nothing in this clause limits any right a Cleaner has under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).
Termination of a Cleaner's account is the termination of a licence to use software — it is not the termination of employment, and no notice period, severance, or compensation for loss of prospective work is payable. Sections relating to Fees, liability, indemnity, disputes, and any term that by its nature should continue, will survive termination.
18. Changes to the Platform and these terms
We may change the Platform or these Terms from time to time. We will give at least 14 days' notice of a material change to these Terms by email or in the app before it takes effect, except where a shorter period is required by law or needed to protect the safety or security of Users. A change never applies to a Booking already confirmed, and you may close your account before a change takes effect. Your continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
19. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
20. General
You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may assign ours. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the policies referred to in them, are the entire agreement between you and Quicksi.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
