Booking a clean
Last updated: 12 October 2026
How to book step by step
Booking a clean on Quicksi takes a few minutes. Here is the full process from start to finish:
- Open the Quicksi app, or go to quicksi.com.au on the web and tap Book a clean.
- Choose your service type — standard clean, deep clean, move-out clean, or one-off (hourly) clean. See Service types explained below for details.
- Set your home size. Select the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Extra bathrooms beyond the standard count attract a small additional charge.
- Select a condition level if prompted. If your home needs extra attention, selecting a higher condition level ensures your cleaner arrives with enough time. See Add-ons and condition levels.
- Choose a date and time. You can book for the same day or schedule in advance. Same-day bookings attract a surcharge, and so does a clean that starts on a Sunday or a public holiday.
- Add your address. Your address is only shared with your matched cleaner — not displayed publicly.
- Review your price breakdown and tap Confirm booking. Your card is authorised (not charged yet) at this step.
Service types explained
Quicksi offers four types of residential cleaning services. The right one depends on the state of your home and what you need done.
- Standard clean
- Regular upkeep for homes and apartments — vacuuming, mopping, surface wiping, bathroom and kitchen clean. Ideal for weekly or fortnightly maintenance.
- Deep clean
- A top-to-bottom reset covering everything in a standard clean plus interior surfaces, appliances, skirting boards, and hard-to-reach areas. Ideal if the property has not been professionally cleaned in a while.
- Move-out clean
- End-of-lease cleaning designed to meet real estate agent inspection standards. Covers the full property from ceiling fans to oven interiors. Ideal when handing back keys at the end of a tenancy.
- One-off clean
- A single visit billed by the hour instead of a fixed scope — you choose how many hours and what to focus on. Ideal for a quick tidy-up or a task that doesn't fit the other service types.
If you are unsure which service to choose, a good rule of thumb is: weekly or fortnightly upkeep → standard clean; home not cleaned in over a month → deep clean; vacating a rental → move-out clean; a specific task with a set number of hours → one-off clean.
Add-ons and condition levels
After selecting your service type, you can customise your booking with add-ons and a condition level.
Add-ons are optional extras that extend the scope of the clean. Examples include cleaning inside the oven, cleaning inside the fridge, or windows. Each add-on has a fixed price displayed in the app before you confirm.
Condition levels describe your home: Light lowers the price, Heavy raises it, and the price breakdown shows the difference before you confirm. Your cleaner sees the same description on the offer:
- Light
- Tidy and cleaned often — a little dust, no build-up. Usually cleaned in the last week or two.
- Standard
- Everyday living — dust, a used kitchen and bathroom. Usually cleaned within the last month.
- Heavy
- Needs extra work — built-up grease or soap scum, stains, lots of pet hair, or not cleaned for a couple of months.
No level covers work outside a cleaning booking — hoarding-level clutter, biohazards, sharps, asbestos, mould remediation, pest infestations or heavy lifting (Terms 8.6).
Same-day bookings
You can book a clean for the same calendar day, subject to cleaner availability in your area. Same-day bookings attract a same-day surcharge to reflect the short notice for your cleaner.
The surcharge is shown clearly in your price breakdown before you confirm. It is not hidden or added after checkout.
Recurring bookings
If you want a cleaner to come regularly, you can set up a recurring booking on a weekly or fortnightly schedule.
Weekly and fortnightly bookings automatically get a recurring discount on each visit, shown in your price breakdown. Once your cleaner agrees to be your regular, their visits on your schedule also carry no connection fee.
Each recurring visit is treated as an individual booking for payment purposes. Your card is authorised separately for each visit and only charged after that visit is confirmed as complete.
Monthly and ad-hoc bookings do not attract a recurring discount — the discount applies only to weekly and fortnightly schedules.
What happens after you book
Once you confirm your booking, here is what happens next:
- Your card is authorised. A hold is placed on your card for the booking amount. This is not a charge — it is a reservation of funds.
- Quicksi finds you a cleaner. The matching process runs automatically, looking for available, vetted cleaners in your area that match your service type. You do not need to do anything.
- You receive a notification when matched. Once a cleaner accepts your job, you are notified in the app with the cleaner's name, photo, and rating.
- On the day, your cleaner taps "On my way." You receive a notification when they set off, and a text message when they arrive and when the clean is done.
- After the clean, you confirm it's done. Tap Confirm & release in the app to release payment to your cleaner. If you don't respond within 24 hours, payment is released automatically.
