Managing clean jobs

How matching works
When a customer completes a booking and their payment is successfully authorised, Quicksi automatically runs the matching process. You do not need to browse a job board or bid — jobs come to you.
Matching takes into account:
- Service area. You are only offered jobs that fall within the suburb(s) or radius you have set in your profile.
- Skills and services. You will only be matched to jobs for service types you have indicated you can perform (standard clean, deep clean, move-out, etc.).
- Star rating. Higher-rated cleaners are offered jobs first when multiple cleaners are available in the same area.
- Availability. You must have the relevant time slot open in your Quicksi availability settings.
- Insurance. A verified, current public liability certificate (the Insured badge) gives a small priority over comparable cleaners nearby. It is optional — not having it never stops offers.
When you are matched to a job, you receive a push notification immediately, and an email. Review the job in the app or on the website before accepting.
Accepting and declining a job
When you receive a match notification, open the job in the app to review the details: address, service type, date, time, special instructions, and the listed price.
- Accept
- The booking moves to Confirmed status. You are committed to the job at the agreed price (unless you later submit an accepted counter-offer or on-site adjustment). The customer is notified that you've been matched.
- Decline
- The offer goes to other cleaners. Declining never counts against you — not your ranking, your offers or your standing, however often you do it (Terms 9.8).
- No response
- If you don't respond in time, the offer expires and goes to other cleaners. Like a decline, it never counts against you.
What Light, Standard and Heavy mean
Every booking shows the condition the customer chose for their home. It's their description, part of what they booked, and it's already in the price you're offered — Light costs the customer less, Heavy more. It describes the home — not how you clean it or how long it takes; that's up to you (Terms 9.1, 9.10). These are the descriptions the customer chose from:
- Light
- Tidy and cleaned often — a little dust, no build-up. Usually cleaned in the last week or two.
- Standard
- Everyday living — dust, a used kitchen and bathroom. Usually cleaned within the last month.
- Heavy
- Needs extra work — built-up grease or soap scum, stains, lots of pet hair, or not cleaned for a couple of months.
The same description is shown on the offer and on the job, in the app and on the website.
If the home doesn't match what was booked. The level is the customer's own description, so it can be off. Before you accept, you can decline, or make a counter-offer if you think the job is worth more (Terms 9.7, 9.8). On site, if the home is materially worse than described, you can ask for a price adjustment with photos; the customer decides, and if they decline you can carry on at the agreed price or withdraw with no penalty (Terms 9.9). On a fixed-price job you're paid the agreed price whether the home turns out easier or harder than described.
On the day — arrival to completion
How you clean is up to you (Terms 9.1, 9.10). These are the steps the app records, and what the customer has been told to expect:
- Tap "On my way" in the app when you leave. This sends the customer a notification and timestamps your departure. If you're running late, message the customer through the in-app chat as early as possible.
- Bring your equipment and supplies. They are part of your business, unless the booking says the customer is supplying something.
- Check in when you arrive. Tap Check in on the job — it records your arrival and location. Check-in opens one hour before the start time and closes two hours after it (later if you told the customer in the app you were running late). If it closes before you check in, the customer can have the job given to another cleaner or cancel it, and the job counts as a no-show on your record.
- Read the booking notes. Customers often add what they're after — areas to focus on, rooms to skip, products to avoid — and it's part of what they booked.
- Do what was booked. Mark the job complete once the booked work is done. If the home is materially bigger or dirtier than described, use an on-site adjustment instead.
- Mark the job Complete in the app. When all agreed work is done, tap Complete. The customer is notified and has 24 hours to confirm or report a problem; after that your pay is released automatically. If you checked in but forget to tap Complete, the job is marked complete 12 hours after it was due to finish.
- Leave the home secure. Doors and windows as you found them, and keys returned the way the customer asked.
On-site adjustments
If you arrive and find the property is in significantly worse condition than described — or the scope is meaningfully larger than the booking details suggested — you can request an on-site price adjustment once you have checked in, before carrying on.
Send the request from the job in the app with at least two photos and a short note. The customer gets a notification and a text message and can approve or decline; no answer within 30 minutes counts as declined.
- Customer approves
- Quicksi re-authorises their card at the new amount and you carry on at the adjusted price. Your pay is worked out on the new price at the same platform-fee rate.
- Customer declines
- You choose: carry on at the original price, or withdraw from the job. Withdrawing after a declined adjustment is a no-fault cancellation — not counted against you and no re-matching charge (Terms 9.9).
Cancellations & your standing
Cancelling a confirmed job negatively impacts the customer's experience and Quicksi's ability to fulfil bookings. We understand that genuine emergencies happen, but the platform tracks your cancellation record and may restrict matching for cleaners who cancel frequently.
- Cleaner cancels (fault)
- Cancellations you initiate — other than following a declined on-site adjustment — count against your record. Multiple fault cancellations may reduce your matching priority or trigger a review of your account.
- No check-in (no-show)
- If the check-in window closes without a check-in, the job counts as a no-show. Did the job anyway? Tap I did this job in the app with photos — the customer confirms or Quicksi decides. If the customer reports you didn't come, a re-matching charge applies — you have 48 hours to tap I was there before it can be deducted. If we are satisfied you attended, the charge is waived and the no-show is removed from your record.
- No-fault cancel
- Withdrawing after a customer declined your on-site adjustment, a customer who didn't give access or a safe place to work (reported from the job — see above), and extenuating circumstances Quicksi accepts (Terms 7.8) do not count against your record.
- Customer cancels
- If the customer cancels their booking, you receive a notification and the booking is removed from your schedule. Cancellation policy penalties (if any) are applied to the customer per Quicksi's Terms.
If you need to cancel a confirmed job, do so as early as possible via the app. Last-minute cancellations (within a few hours of the scheduled start) have a greater impact on your standing.
Disputes
Disputes can arise when a customer believes the clean was not completed to a satisfactory standard, or when there is a disagreement about what was agreed.
If a customer raises a dispute after you mark a job complete, payment release may be paused while Quicksi reviews the situation. You will be notified through the app and may be asked to provide evidence — such as before-and-after photos or messages from the in-app chat.
Re-cleans. Quicksi may offer the customer a return visit to redo the areas they reported. If they want it, you're asked on the job whether you'd like to return — it's your choice, and saying no is never counted against you; Quicksi then decides the report on the evidence. If you return, agree the time in the chat, tap Re-clean done with photos, and once the customer confirms it's fixed (or doesn't answer within 24 hours) you're paid the job in full. There's no extra charge to the customer and no extra pay (Terms 7.9A).
Quicksi's recommendation: take a few timestamped photos on arrival (to document the property's condition before you start) and a few on completion. This is the single most effective way to resolve a dispute quickly and in your favour.
To raise a dispute yourself — for example, if a customer is unresponsive or made inaccurate claims about the property — email support@quicksi.com.au with your booking reference, a description of the issue, and any supporting photos or screenshots.
Job statuses explained
Every booking on Quicksi moves through a sequence of statuses. Here is what each one means:
- Offered
- The customer's card is authorised and the job has been offered to you and other nearby cleaners. Nobody has accepted yet.
- Confirmed
- You accepted the job. It's in your schedule and the customer can see your name and photo.
- In progress
- You checked in at the address.
- Marked complete
- You marked the job done. The customer has 24 hours to confirm or report a problem; payment hasn't been taken yet.
- Customer confirmed
- The customer confirmed (or 24 hours passed). Payment is taken and your payout released. The customer can now leave a star rating.
- Under review
- The customer reported a problem. Your payout is held while Quicksi looks at both sides, usually within 3–5 business days.
- Cancelled
- The booking was cancelled by either party. Payment was not captured. The reason and fault determination affect whether it counts against your cancellation record.
