How the 85 / 15 split works
For every job you complete on Quicksi, you keep 85% of the job total. Quicksi retains 15% as a platform commission. There are no sign-up fees, no monthly subscriptions, and no lead fees — you only pay commission on work you actually complete and get paid for.
- Job total
- The price agreed for the clean — including any add-ons, condition adjustments, or counter-offer price.
- Your payout
- 85% of the job total. Released after the customer confirms the clean.
- Quicksi commission
- 15% of the job total. Deducted automatically before your payout is issued.
The rate is the same whatever the service type, job size or add-ons, and it is fixed when the job is booked. If the job total changes — for example, because a counter-offer or on-site adjustment is accepted — the same rate applies to the new total. Two things are better for you: Sunday and public-holiday premiums are paid to you in full, with no platform fee, and the fee falls with a regular client (see Recurring bookings).
Connection fee (charged to the customer)
In addition to the job total, customers pay a one-off connection fee when they book. It is a percentage of the job with a minimum and a maximum, charged on top of the job total, and it goes to Quicksi — it is not deducted from your payout.
From your perspective, the connection fee is invisible: your payout is worked out from the job total alone, no matter what the customer pays in total.
The fee still applies to one-off bookings, and to a repeat clean that somebody else picks up because you were unavailable. It is charged whenever we run a full search for a cleaner.
You do not need to quote or mention the connection fee to customers. It is displayed clearly to them at the time of booking.
If you cancel a job you accepted
Accepting a job takes it off the board for every other cleaner. If you then cancel, or do not turn up, we have to run the whole search again — and the customer has already paid a connection fee for the first one.
So a re-matching charge is recorded against your account, equal to the connection fee the customer paid on that booking. It is deducted from your next payout.
- How much
- Always the connection fee from that booking and never more — it is the cost of matching it again, not a penalty on the job's value. If the booking carried no connection fee, there is no charge.
- How it is collected
- Only ever deducted from a future payout. Your card is never charged, and a deduction never takes a payout below zero — if a payout does not cover it, the rest simply waits.
- If the customer says you didn't come
- The charge waits 48 hours before it can come off a payout. If you were there, tap I was there next to it in Earnings and say what happened — it is held while we check the job's chat, history and your note, usually within 3–5 business days. If we are satisfied you attended, it is waived, the no-show comes off your record, and if you did the clean we pay you for it.
- When it does NOT apply
- If you withdraw after a customer declines a price adjustment, or where Quicksi accepts there were extenuating circumstances. In both cases nothing is charged and your reliability score is untouched. It is also not charged when a job is cancelled automatically because nobody recorded it — though the no-show still counts.
- Seeing it
- You are notified when a charge is recorded, and it is shown in the app before it comes off a payout — never as an unexplained shortfall.
When your payout is released
Quicksi holds the customer's payment as a card authorisation (not a charge) from the moment a booking is made. The funds are only captured — and your payout triggered — when the job is confirmed as completed.
There are two ways the confirmation happens:
- Customer confirms
- After you mark the job as Complete in the app, the customer taps "Confirm & release" in their app. Your payout is triggered immediately.
- Auto-confirm (24 h)
- If the customer does not take any action within 24 hours of the job being marked complete, Quicksi automatically confirms the clean and triggers your payout. You do not need to chase the customer.
Once your payout is triggered, the funds are processed through Stripe and typically arrive in your nominated bank account within 1–3 business days, depending on your bank.
Same-day surcharge
Bookings made for the same calendar day attract a same-day surcharge, which compensates for the short notice. The surcharge is applied automatically — you do not need to add it manually.
How the surcharge is treated depends on the platform's current settings:
- Shared surcharge
- The surcharge is added to the job total before commission is calculated. Your 85% payout is then based on the higher total, so you earn more on same-day jobs.
- Cleaner surcharge
- The surcharge goes 100% to you, bypassing commission entirely — a bigger urgency incentive.
In both cases the customer's price goes up on same-day bookings. The surcharge amount and the mode (shared vs. cleaner) are set by Quicksi and displayed to the customer at the time of booking.
Recurring booking discounts
Customers who book a weekly or fortnightly recurring clean receive a recurring discount on each visit. This discount is applied to the customer's price automatically — you do not need to offer it yourself.
Your 85% payout is calculated on the discounted job total. Recurring bookings are lower per visit, but they provide predictable, reliable income over time.
A lower platform fee with your regular clients. When you are a plan's regular cleaner, Quicksi doesn't run a matching round for its visits, so its fee falls as you complete more of them: the standard rate for the first four, 12% from the 5th and 10% from the 11th. Your offer already shows the pay at your level; it applies when you accept. It never depends on ratings or on offers you decline (Terms 6.10).
Counter-offers
When a job is offered to you, you may propose a higher price instead of accepting, if you believe the listed price does not reflect the scope of the work. This is called a counter-offer.
How it works:
- You submit a counter-offer price through the app. The counter-offer must exceed the original listed price — you cannot counter-offer at a lower amount.
- The customer receives a notification and can accept or decline. If they accept, Quicksi re-authorises their card at the new amount.
- If the customer declines, nothing is owed either way: the job stays open at the listed price, and you can still accept it at that price or let it go. If another cleaner accepts the listed price first, the job is theirs and your counter-offer lapses.
- If the customer's card cannot be re-authorised at the counter-offer amount, the counter-offer is automatically voided and the booking reverts to the original price.
Your payout after an accepted counter-offer is 85% of the new counter-offer price.
On-site adjustments
If you arrive at a property and discover the job is significantly larger than described, you can request an on-site price adjustment once you have checked in, with at least two photos.
The customer gets a notification and a text message and decides. If they approve, Quicksi re-authorises their card at the adjusted amount before you carry on. If they don't answer within 30 minutes, it counts as declined.
If the customer declines, you can carry on at the original price or withdraw. Withdrawing after a declined adjustment is a no-fault cancellation: it doesn't count against your record and no re-matching charge applies.
How payouts reach your account
Quicksi uses Stripe to process all payments and payouts. When you complete your cleaner profile in the app, you connect a bank account through Stripe's secure onboarding flow. Quicksi never stores your bank details directly.
Payouts are sent automatically once a job is confirmed. Processing times are controlled by Stripe and your bank — most Australian bank accounts receive funds within 1–3 business days of the payout being triggered.
You can check your payout history in the Earnings section of your Quicksi account. If you believe a payout is missing or delayed, contact us at support@quicksi.com.au with your booking reference and we will investigate with Stripe.
